Richard Crawshay, a seasoned Senior Business Executive, brings over 40 years of experience in general management, operational management, business transformation, program management, IT outsourcing, and organizational leadership. Having worked across three continents, he has operated at various levels—account, country, sub-regional, regional, and global—spanning both private and public sectors.
His diverse career includes 20 years as a British Army Officer, 2 years as a management consultant, 15 years in a global IT company, and a unique stint as a High School Science Teacher. Joining PBS in 2020, Richard now serves as the Managing Director of Americas.
As a skilled facilitator comfortable in both the classroom and online settings, Richard possesses a natural ability to create learning conditions where individuals feel both challenged and respected. He values facilitating learning through discovery rather than traditional didactic teaching. While avoiding being labelled an expert, he proudly embraces the term enthusiast, particularly advocating for a sustainability mindset.
Residing in Ontario, Canada, with his wife Maria, Richard is a proud father of a son and two daughters from his first marriage. He has also been blessed with a grandson and granddaughter.
