Executive Director, Bridge That Gap Initiative
Gloria Kasang Bulus is an environmentalist concerned about the global destruction of nature and has dedicated her life to promoting environmental ethics, sustainable use of natural resources and preserving the natural environment for future generations. Through her work as the founder of Bridge That Gap Initiative, (a non-profit organization) she created the Network of Civil Society in Environment (NCSE), raising awareness on the current climate crises, influencing environmental actions, and confronting the complexities of environmental governance in Nigeria. Gloria’s educational background includes an MSc in Natural Resource Management and Climate Change, Masters Renewable Energy, Masters in Disaster Risk Reduction.
She also has a PGD in Geographic Information System, a professional certificate in environmental public health, and in Water Safety and Hygiene (WASH) including a BSc in Environmental studies and Resource Management. She was one time the West Africa Regional Coordinator for African Climate Reality Project (ACRP).
Gloria is the first African awardee of the Alfredo Sirkis Memorial Green Ring Award presented by the former vice president of America Al Gore for having demonstrated an exceptional commitment to her role as a climate communicator and activist.
