Senior Manager, Environment & Standards, International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM)
Antonia is a Senior Manager at the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), leading the tailings management workstream and the consolidation of responsible mining standards initiative. Prior to ICMM, Antonia headed the Director General’s Office of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), serving as Special Adviser to the Director General.
Prior to that, she managed the Global Tailings Review, the process that led to the development of the UNEP, ICMM and responsible investors-backed Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM). She took on that role after a number of years at a London-based international development consultancy, working on World Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)-funded mineral resource governance projects across Asia and Africa. In the early stages of her career, Antonia worked for an environmental NGO Global Greengrants Fund, supporting grassroots initiatives.
